Wilson, Ph.D., of California, in response to the Wall Street Journal article

titled

"Where's The Outrage?" that appeared July 31,2008.

Really, I can tell you where the outrage is. The outrage is here, in this middle-aged, well-educated, upper-middle class woman. The outrage is here, but I have no representation, no voice. The outrage is here, but no one is listening for who am I?

I am not a billionaire like George Soros that can fund an entire political movement.

I am not a celebrity like Barbra Streisand that can garner the attention of the press to promote political candidates.

I am not a film maker like Michael Moore or Al Gore that can deliver misleading movies to the public.

The outrage is here, but unlike those with money or power, I don't know how to reach those who feel similarly in order to effect change.

Why am I outraged? I am outraged that my country, the United States of America , is in a state of moral and ethical decline. There is no right or wrong anymore, just what's fair.

Is it fair that millions of Americans who overreached and borrowed more than they could afford are now being bailed out by the government and lending institutions to stave off foreclosure? Why shouldn't these people be made to pay the consequences for their poor judgment?

When my husband and I purchased our home, we were careful to purchase only what we could afford. Believe me, there are much larger, much nicer homes that I would have loved to have purchased. But, taking responsibility for my behavior and my life, I went with the house that we could afford, not the house that we could not afford. The notion of personal responsibility has all but died in our country.

I am outraged, that the country that welcomed my mother as an immigrant from Hitler's Nazi Germany and required that she and her family learn English now allows itself to be overrun with illegal immigrants and worse, caters to those illegal immigrants.

I am outraged that my hard-earned taxes help support those here illegally. That the Los Angeles Public School District is in such disarray that I felt it incumbent to send my child to private school, that every time I go to the ATM, I see "do you want to continue in English or Spanish?", that every time I call the bank, the phone company, or similar business, I hear "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish".. WHY? This is America, our common language is English and attempts to promote a bi- or multi-lingual society are sure to fail and to marginalize those who cannot communicate in English.

I am outraged at our country's weakness in the face of new threats on American traditions from Muslims. Just this week, Tyson's Food negotiated with its union to permit Muslims to have Eid-al-Fitr as a holiday instead of Labor Day. What am

I missing? Yes, there is a large Somali Muslim population working at the Tyson's plant in Tennessee. Tennessee, last I checked, is still part of the United States .. If Muslims want to live and work here they should be required to live and work by our American Laws and not impose their will on our long history.

In the same week, Random House announced that they had indefinitely delayed the publication of The Jewel of Medina, by Sherry Jones, a book about the life of Mohammed's wife, Aisha due to fear of retribution and violence by Muslims. When did we become a nation ruled by fear of what other immigrant groups want?

It makes me so sad to see large corporations cave rather than stand proudly on the principles that built this country.

I am outraged because appeasement has never worked as a political policy, yet appeasing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is exactly what we are trying to do. An excellent article, also published recently in the Wall Street Journal, went through over 20 years of history and why talking with Iran has been and will continue to be ineffective. Yet talk, with a madman no less, we continue to do so.. Have we so lost our moral compass and its ability to detect evil that we will not go in and destroy Iran 's nuclear program? Would we rather wait for another Holocaust for the Jews - one which they would be unlikely to survive? When does it end?

As if the battle for good and evil isn't enough, now come the Environmentalists who are so afraid of global warming that they want to put a Bag tax on grocery bags in California; to eliminate Mylar balloons; to establish something as insidious as the recycle police in San Francisco. I do my share for the environment: I recycle, I use water wisely, I installed an energy efficient air conditioning unit. But when and where does the lunacy stop? Ahmadinejad wants to wipe Israel off the map, the California economy is being overrun by illegal immigrants, and the United States of America no longer knows right from wrong, good from evil.. So what does California do? Tax grocery=2 0bags.

So, America , although I can tell you where the outrage is, this one middle-aged, well-educated, upper middle class woman is powerless to do anything about it. I don't even feel like my vote counts because I am so outnumbered by those who disagree with me.

Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most Public schools anymore because the word 'God' is mentioned....A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in schoolWhere praying is against the rule for this great nation under God finds mention of him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, it violates the Bill of Rights, and anytime my head I bow becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate,God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, and pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, we're taught that such judgments' do not belong. Call Out

This is a call out to help the animals at the Granite City Illinois APA, the Granite City APA was burglarized again this week, the thieves made off with a large amount of dog food. The Granite City Association APA is always tight on funds. Workers are now trying to figure out how to absorb the financial loss and at the same time continue to provide services to the animals. I am urging anyone who lives near there to please donate some dog food to help out the animals even a donation would help them out. Serial Killer In The Making??

Wendsday October 1, 2008 in Sydney Australia a 7 year old boy broke into a popular Outback zoo, fed a string of animals to Terry a 11 foot 440 pound crocodile. The child then went on a killing spree, bashing three lizards to death with a rock, including the zoo's 20-year-old Goanna. The boy also fed several live animals to the crocodile by throwing them over the two fences surrounding the crocodile's enclosure. Thirteen animals had been killed, including a turtle, bearded dragons and thorny devil lizards. Police said they are unable to press charges against the boy because of his age. Children under age 10 can't be charged with criminal offenses in the Northern Territory. The director of the zoo Rex Neindorf stated the zoo will sue the boy's parents.
This is exactly how serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and many other serial killers started their sick sadistic killings, by killing animals. I am deeply saddened that this child is getting away with what he did, what kind of message is that sending? What kind of half wit parents let their child run amuck at night? Hopefully the parents will get the full extent of the Aussie law whatever that maybe.

Richard Wright founder of Pink Floyd died Monday September 15, 2008 at his home in London at the age of 65 after batteling cancer. Wright formed Pink Floyd along with Roger Waters and Nick Mason. Nicholas T. Sheley, age 28 of Sterling Illinois was arrested Tuesday night outside a Bindy's Bar and Grill in Granite City in Madison County, Illinois. Sheley was wanted in connection with eight recent homicides in Illinois and Missouri. Authorities believe Sheley, killed eight people in the past week, a 93-year-old man Russell Reed from Sterling Illinois, the body of Reed, the first of the eight killed, was found one week ago in the trunk of a car, police say. Investigators say Sheley faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated battery and vehicular hijacking in the death of Ronald Randall, age 65, whose body was found Monday behind a grocery store in Galesburg, in northwestern Illinois. On Monday, police discovered the bodies of two men, a woman and a child in an apartment in nearby Rock Falls Illinois. Investigators believe they likely died late Saturday or early Sunday. Sheley was acquainted with the male victims, Brock Branson and Kenneth Ulvey, both in their 20s also killed were 20 year old Kilynna Blake and her 2 year old child Dayan Blake, whose remains were discovered Monday in an apartment in Rock Falls Illinois. More than 250 miles away, the bodies of Tom and Jill Estes of Sherwood, Arkansas were found Monday behind a gas station in Festus Missouri. The married couple had checked into a Comfort Inn in Festus last Friday June 27th and were last seen late Sunday on June 29th. Their dogs were found in the hotel parking lot, unharmed but covered with blood. All eight homicide victims appeared to have been killed by blunt force trauma to the head.

A-B executives said they are not going to sell off their packaging division or their theme parks. It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first. We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics. The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him. Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts. Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost. Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America.. But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial "beauty." Start with national security, since the president's most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk. Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on "the rich." How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck. Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, "All praise and glory to God!" but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have "hijacked" - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francisco values, not Middle America values. The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of "bringing America together" means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs. But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton. It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington ? Cardinals Pitcher Killed

Cardinals Pitcher, Josh Hancock, of the St. Louis Cardinals was killed at 12:35a.m. Sunday morning in a traffic accident. The 29 year old Hancock was alone in his 2007 Ford Explorer when he struck the rear of a tow truck at 12:35 a.m. The truck was in the left lane assisting another vehicle that was involved in a prior accident, Hancock was pronounced dead at the scene. Hancock's death is the second of a Cardinals player in less than five years. Pitcher Darryl Kile was found dead in a Chicago hotel room in June 2002. The 33 year old Kile died of a coronary artery blockage. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Josh Hancock and the entire Cardinals Organization, this is another tragic loss for the Cardinals and the world of baseball.

Mistrial In Johnson Murder Trial

Kevin Johnson was on trial here in St. Louis for the July 5, 2005 murder of Kirkwood Police Sergeant Bill McEntee. Johnson shot Sergeant McEntee 6 times and the 7th shot in the back of the head while officer McEntee sat in his patrol car talking to some local kids. Johnson states in his trial he just "flipped out' after his younger brother fell dead of a heart condition that same day, Johnson blamed police for not being able to save his younger brother, so this animal decides to go out and kill the first cop he see's. On Saturday March 31, 2007 Johnson admitted to shooting McEntee during his testimony on the stand. The jurors couldn't decide whether Johnson should be convicted of first degree murder, which could carry a death penalty sentence, or second degree murder, so a mistrial was declared and a new trial starts in October. This animal Johnson admitted he killed McEntee, a man who had a wife and children, just doing his job, Johnson took a life, and should pay with his own!

A college student from Massachusetts who collapsed on subway tracks in New York City owes his life to a courageous and quick-thinking stranger. Nineteen year old Cameron Hollopeter of Littleton fell on to the tracks at a Manhattan station yesterday after suffering a seizure. Wesley Autrey age 50 a Vietnam Veteran saw the teen-ager fall on the tracks, which are a few feet bellow from platform level. Autrey jumped down onto the tracks and rolled with Hollopeter into the rut between the rails as a southbound train was coming in. The train's operator hit the emergency brakes but couldn't stop in time. Two cars of the train passed over the men, leaving about two inches to spare. Neither men where injured. What a remarkable act of courage from Mr. Autrey to act when a fellow American is in need of help, I applaud this man, if we had more people like this in the world, the world would be a much better place.

Missouri And Illinois Get Hit With The Worst Ice Storm In 25 Years

Thursday night Missouri and Illinois where hit with the worst ice storm in 25 years, causing over 400,000 power outages in Missouri and Illinois due to down lines from the ice. On Friday, Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt declared a state of emergency and dispatched the Missouri National Guard to St. Louis. The guard spent Saturday conducting door-to-door checks to make sure residents without power are okay. The Illinois National Guard has also mobilized. They will check on residents in the metro east. Ameren was out in full-force this weekend as 1,500 workers attempted to restore power to affected customers. Ameren says 2,000 more workers will be added to restoration efforts. Ameren says it's making progress restoring lines, but ice covered lines continue falling, thus shutting off more power just as they work to get other lines back up and running. Amren hoping temperatures will rise above freezing long enough for the ice to fall from the lines and trees. Ameren said it could be days before everyone has electricity again. Officials could not give an accurate estimate. Ameren's response to this outage is expected to be another test of their storm readiness following the July storms that kept many in the dark for more than a week. As of Monday night across Missouri 10 people have died.

Iraq's High Tribunal on Sunday found Saddam Hussein guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced him to hang for the 1982 killing of 148 Shiites in the city of Dujail. Along with Hussein, his half brother and former intelligence chief Barzan Hassan, and former chief judge of the Revolutionary Court Awad Bandar also were sentenced to death. Taha Yassin Ramadan, a former vice president of Iraq, was sentenced to life in prison. Mohammed Azzawi Ali, a former Dujail Baath Party official, was acquitted because of insufficient evidence against him the court said. The three others Abdullah Kadhem Ruwaid, Ali Dayem Ali, and Misher Abdullah Ruwaid were sentenced to 15 years each. Hussein is also in the middle of another trial involving the 1988 Anfal campaign, the government offensive in the country's Kurdish region. Hussein is charged in that case with genocide. May this evil man finally get what he deserves for murdering and tourturing so many innocent people.

The slain Amish girls where laid to rest today, Naomi Rose Ebersole age 7, Marian Fisher age 13, Mary Liz Miller age 8, and her sister Lena Miller age 7. Anna Mae Stoltzfus age 12, is to be buried Friday. The gunman Charles Carl Roberts IV a 32 year old truck driver, armed with walked into a a one-room Amish schoolhouse Monday in Nickel Mines Pennsylvania, binding and shooting three girls execution-style, and wounding seven other girls before killing himself. Two of the girls died early Tuesday. Authorities say the gunman Roberts was bent on killing young girls as a way of “acting out in revenge for something that happened 20 years ago. Roberts armed himself with a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun and a rifle, along with a bag of about 600 rounds of ammunition, two cans of smokeless powder, two knives and a stun gun on his belt. He also had rolls of tape, various tools and a change of clothes, obviously expecting a long stand off. I have been to Lancaster Pennsylvania, Amish Country, and the Amish people are very simple and peaceful idividuals, I cannot believe some lunatic with a grudge could take it out on such peaceful people, it is so tragic.

On September 19, 2006 Jacob Thornton age 21, of Edwardsville Illinois, who admitted in court to tearing off the head of a kitten after a fight with his girlfriend has been sentenced to two years in prison. A judge ordered Thornton's sentence to run concurrently to a prison term related to a parole violation on a 2005 aggravated battery conviction. On Wendsday evening July 19, 2006 thunderstorms with winds exceeding 90mph and fierce lightning hit the St. Louis Metropolitan Area with a vengeance leaving in it's path damage to homes and buisnesses, over 400 higher voltage feeder lines went out, hundreds of downed lines and broken poles littered roads and highways. The storm caused power outages for well over 600,000 customers in the Amren Electric service area on both sides of the river. State government sprung into action within hours, with Governor Matt Blunt issueing a state of emergency in St. Louis City the most vulnerable hard hit area, Mayor Frances Slay requested between 300-400 National Guard troops for the St. Louis City area to help clean up debris and set up cooling centers due to excessive heat in the upper 90's with heat indices up to 115 degrees. I found it very touching how the residents in the St. Louis county suburbs where I live, were neighbors helping neighbors and this seem to extend into St. Louis City also, I was thankful that the people of St. Louis and surrounding counties banned together in this time of crisis.

A Hero's Goodbye: Cpl. Riley Baker Laid To Rest

A 22-year-old marine from Eureka was buried Friday. Corporal Riley Baker was killed in action last week in Iraq. Baker was on his second tour of duty when he was killed last Thursday in Ramadi, Iraq. He was completing a mission as a scout sniper, and on his way back to a military vehicle when he was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED), better known as a roadside bomb. More than 50 Patriot Guard Riders, which have members nationwide, showed up to be part of the funeral procession. With so many people going to the burial, police shut down eastbound Highway 44 for about 20 minutes for the funeral procession. At Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, an Army National Guard helicopter from Jefferson City flew overhead as Baker was buried with full military honors. Memorials can be made to "Injured Marine Semper Fi Marine Fund". The funeral procession was so large it took thirty minutes to get into Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary. I had just got off work around noon today when I saw the funeral procession, police had all traffic stopped on both sides of the road, there was a truck carrying the motorcycles that Riley and his father rode, it was a very moving experience for me to witness it brang tears to my eyes. May God bless this soldier for his ultimate sacrifice.

With a year to go before it even touches the water, the Navy's amphibious assault ship USS New York has already made history. It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center. USS New York is about 45 percent complete and should be ready for launch in mid 2007. Hurricane Katrina disrupted construction when it pounded the Gulf Coast last summer, but the 684 foot vessel escaped serious damage, and the workers where back at the ship yard near New Orleans two weeks after Hurricane Katrina. It is the fifth in a new class of warship designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft. It would be fitting if the first mission this ship would go on is to make sure that Bin Laden and his terrorist organization is taken out. The ship's motto should be "Never Forget."

Last month I attended my annual training session that is required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims,they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar.He sheepishly replied, "Yes."I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"The Imam was speechless.I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me? I went to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary today here in St. Louis to pay my respects to Army PFC James Costello III (age 27) of St. Louis who was killed in Iraq on April 11, 2006 when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle. I believe that is the least I can do for a young man who sacrificed his life for this country. I am a strong supporter of our troops and our freedom. Blue Ribbon Against Child Abuse

I recieved this in an email thought I would pass it on because I thought it was a powerful message agaist child abuse.----

My name is Sarah I am but three, My eyes are swollen I cannot see, I must be stupid, I must be bad, What else could have made My daddy so mad? I wish I were better, I wish I weren't ugly, Then maybe my Mommy Would still want to hug me. I can't speak at all, I can't do a wrong Or else I'm locked up All the day long. When I awake I'm all alone The house is dark My folks aren't home. When my Mommy does come I'll try and be nice, So maybe I'll get just One whipping tonight. Don't make a sound! I just heard a car My daddy is back From Charlie's Bar. I hear him curse My name he calls I press myself Against the wall. I try and hide From his evil eyes I'm so afraid now He finds me weeping He shouts ugly words, He says its my fault That he suffers at work. He slaps me and hits me And yells at me more, I finally get free And I run for the door. He's already locked it And I start to bawl, He takes me and throws me Against the hard wall. I fall to the floor With my bones nearly broken, And my daddy continues With more bad words spoken. "I'm sorry!", I scream But its now much too late His face has been twisted Into unimaginable hate. St. Louis County Army Soldier Killed In Iraq

A soldier from South St. Louis County has been killed in action. It comes just five months after he was sent to Iraq, 27 year old James Costello was one of three Americans who died Tuesday April 11, 2006. In loving memory of James Costello.
